What does Chefs For Hire Catering do?

We are full-service, off-site catering specialists serving all of Northeast Ohio.

How much does it cost to cater an event?

There is no standard answer for this one, as each event requires special handling. There are so many factors that enter into the final cost. For example, the size of the event, the type of foods selected, the type of service desired, the amount of rentals needed, and any other variables that enter into the picture. That is why our staff likes to meet with the client to give the personal attention that each event deserves.

Can I order something that is not on one of your menus?

Chefs For Hire Catering always tries to meet the needs and special food requests of our clients. If you don’t see what you had in mind, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’ll do our best to accommodate you. Items that are not on our menu may result in a slightly higher price.C

What if my payment is late?

If final payment resolution is 10 days or more post event date, a 20% surcharge will be applied to the final bill. In the case payment is not finalized 90 days post event date; Chefs For Hire is entitled to take legal recourses to collect funds owed with a 30% surcharge added.

What if the price of my food increases?

Due to the fluctuating cost of food items, menu prices are subject to change within 14 days of the event. If a drastic change in the menu cost occurs, the Client has 2 options: Client will pay the additional cost based on the current adjusted price, or the Client can substitute other menu item(s) to maintain the agreed upon price. We will always communicate with you and do everything we can to make sure your event goes as planned!

How do I reserve an event date?

Events reserved through a deposit received in either a check or credit card form. It confirms the date and assures the client a place on our production schedule. It also serves to validate our efforts on the client’s behalf.

How do you handle payments and deposits?

Full payment must be posted by day of the event with either: cash, check, or money order. Make checks Payable to Chefs For Hire. Credit card is also accepted, however total will include a 3% surcharge. Applicable sales tax applies to all events, not including optional gratuity.
Client agrees to pay Caterer the total amount due in the final Catering Invoice.

– Orders under $1,500.00 require 10% deposit to confirm.
– Orders over $1,500.00 require 25% deposit to confirm.
– Orders over $10,000.00 require 30% deposit to confirm.
– Orders placed less than 7 days in advance requires payment in full to confirm the event.

Any deposit will guarantee the event date and will be deducted from the final invoice total.

Do you charge a service fee?

All of our events are subject to a service charge. This charge covers all necessary hidden costs associated with catering, including but not limited to: transportation of product and staff, event setup, menu creation, and various administrative tasks. The service charge that fits your event will be taken as a percentage of your estimate total.

– 20% Service Charge: This charge is for events in which food is served and staff are on site.

– 21% Service Charge: This charge is for events where food and drinks are served on-site.

Are you a Chef Placement Firm?
